XTR- LARGE ARBOR FLY REELS
A family of four phenomenally good looking fl y reels that are strong,
lightweight and durable and fitted with 2 shielded A-RB bearings + 1 roller
bearing that provide greater resistance against corrosion than conventional
open bearings. The cold forging of the Aluminium spool and body results in
lighter and stronger properties than any die-cast or machined bar-stock
spool. Both spools incorporate a push butt on quick release and wooden
counter-balanced reel handle. The multi-disc, waterproof drag has an
ambidextrous quick-change system and the reel is supplied in a bespoke fly
reel case. 1 spare cold forged, double anodised spool is included as

FLY REELS
Cold forging technology is at the very
heart of Shimano’s bike and fishing tackle business. This process ensures a
strong yet lightweight frame and spool. The frame is then machined and the
result is a reel that is as impressive to behold as it is to use. Fly
rods have become increasingly lighter, thanks to the use of new materials
and technology - it is therefore important that reels follow suit to ensure
a well-balanced outfit. At 160 grams, the 7/8 version is one of the lightest
metal reels on the market. As well as Cold Forging, Shimano is known
for the quality of its drag systems - the Biocraft XT benefits here as well.
Both 3/4 and 5/6 sizes incorporate a single disc, micro-adjustable drag,
whilst the 7/8 and new 9/10 feature a double disc system. A quick-change,
push butt on spool and straightforward handle conversion, completes the

 BIOCRAFT XT FLY REELS
The Biocraft XT reel is based on one of the most highly respected
fly-fishing reels of the last decade - The Ultegra Fly.. One major
improvement of the Biocraft over its’ predecessor, however, is in the spool.
Whilst the traditional design of the spool has remained, it is now
cold-forged, rather than die-cast. The result is a spool that retains the
same strength as the Ultegra, but is lighter. The spool is also anodised,
making the reel suitable for both freshwater and saltwater applications. Features include the following:
