Lerc for eleven years. During this period Preston have constantly strived to design poles for the type of fishing done in the UK. Over this period the carp match fishing circuit has grown massively and now dominates match fishing. Because Preston design all of our own poles, and are match anglers ourselves,
Preston have been able to design poles that are totally suited to fishing for bigger weights, using stronger elastic. That’s why even Preston's very best match poles, which make
use of the lightest, most advanced carbon fibre, can be used for carp by removing the number one section.
Another feature that has come about by our close relationship with Lerc is the revolutionary Genis System (GIS). This was thought of and designed by Preston, and their
working relationship with Lerc has enabled Preston to add to the range to offer unbeatable choice.

Additional benefits have also been
recently gained with Lerc moving its
pole production to Italy. This has given Preston increased technical support and new features have now been incorporated in to the production. Seamless Construction
System (SCS) is still at the heart of the pole, but additional features like Nanolith, Sun Core and Fusion top kits now make Preston poles, manufactured by Lerc in Italy, some of the very best in the world.
