Doodlebug
The Doodlebug is a slow sink lure sinking at approximately one foot every two seconds which can be worked with slow taps of the rod tip as a glide bait, or with fast jerks as a darter. This is a great little jerk bait ideally suited to spring, summer and autumn applications, such as post spawn and adjacent to heavy cover and shallow flats. A metal horizontal tail fin is also incorporated into the rear of the lure to help maintain stability during the retrieve.

Rooter
The smallest of the Rooter family, this floating buoyant version is best used in shallow water or sub surface situations like weed & debris. With its wooden body, single treble hook & soft plastic tail, the Rooter can be jerked, trolled or simply worked on a steady retrieve. A great spring through summer lure, which can be worked just below the surface or down to 1.5 metres depending on speed of retrieve.

Jointed Rooter
Larger jointed version of the Rooter which floats but works slightly deeper at depths of between one and 2.5 metres. This lure can be trolled or worked on a steady retrieve, but when jerked and twitched it has a break back dying minnow action which is often effective at converting following pike into takers. A good choice for extensive shallows and working over the top of deep submerged weed beds. A good summer late autumn choice lure
