 BUMP BARS
It is probably fair to say, the Bump Bar has changed the way many people
fish the ‘long pole’ and, despite a flood of imitations, it was Fox who
pioneered the system. They might be ungainly to look at, but ask anyone who
has fished with a Bump Bar and they will tell you they couldn’t do without
one. Like all good ideas, the Bump bar is quite simple: it attaches to the
front of footplates and platforms and serves as an extra point of support
for poles, lessening the overall weight held by the angler. The ribbed foam
stops poles from being damaged and being blown about in wind. Two models are
available: a standard fixed model where the bar is at 90 degrees to the
supports and a folding design. Both models are also available as a
comprehensive kit which comprises: a Bump Bar, four accessory blocks and
